Research Peptides

Semax

Semax is a synthetic peptide analog of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) fragment 4-10 (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro), developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow. It is classified as a nootropic and neuropsychotropic agent with demonstrated effects on memory, attention, and cognitive processing speed. Research shows Semax influences BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) expression, enhances cerebral blood flow, and provides neuroprotective effects. Unlike ACTH, Semax does not affect adrenal cortex function. It has been approved in Russia for clinical use in treating stroke and cognitive disorders. Available in research-grade lyophilized form and nasal spray formulations.
